2020 - Year in review

2020 has been a trying year for everyone. I doubt there is anyone who has not been affected by it.

Taupo Car Club is now picking up the pieces and we have been holding our monthly committee meetings on a Saturday morning which is working well for us all.

Though we are not holding race meetings we are looking at other types of events and are in discussions with using some roads around the Turangi area.

We are in the process of planning our 3 summer race meetings 21/22 November 2020, 9/10 January 2021 and 20/21 March 2021.

We are also still in legal discussions with Taupo Motorsport Park and are currently in the process of going to arbitration.

We had a representative at the MotorSport New Zealand online AGM on Saturday 22 nd August so hopefully motorsport will start up as we head into Spring and Summer.

After our next committee meeting Saturday 12th September we are holding a working bee around the clubrooms. We are offering lunch from 12 noon and the working bee will get underway from 1pm. All are welcome.
